B1 GERMAN INTENSIVE COURSE

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Focal points are vocabulary, written and oral summaries of the texts from the course book as well as additional texts and listening comprehension. The listening texts are also summarised both orally and in writing.
At this level, grammar topics such as nominalizations, temporal, causal, concessive, conditional indications etc., the passive (will-passive, be-passive), the subjunctive II, passive forms of phrasing and indirect speech (subjunctive I) are completely covered.
These grammar topics will also be regularly practiced and repeated in the following courses.
The B1 course book is thematically supplemented by reading and listening texts and other materials. In the 5th week of the course we start to work on more complex texts with tasks.
At the end of the B1 course the students write a final exam. The exam consists of 4 parts: Reading comprehension, listening comprehension, grammar and text production. Passing the final exam entitles the students to participate in the Intermediate II (B2). Students who successfully pass the final examination of the B1 course will receive a B1 certificate.
