M course
for medicine, biology, pharmacy & more
The M course at the IBZ prepares you for the external assessment exam (Feststellungsprüfung – FSP) of the M course for medical, biological and pharmaceutical courses. The course lasts 12 months and concludes with the final exam, the FSP. This exam takes place externally at the district government of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and is divided into a written and an oral part.
Requirements: B2-Niveau (Goethe, telc, ÖSD or IBZ) German and secondary school diploma

The content of our courses is tailored to the regulation on the assessment exam for admission to university studies in NRW, Germany.
Your weekly lessons in the M course consist of 28 lessons of 45 minutes each.
German: | 8 units per week |
Biology: | 6 units per week |
Physics: | 6 units per week |
Chemistry: | 6 units per week |
Mathematics: | 2 units per week |
We offer you two additional lessons per week, as mathematics is not an official part in the first pre-examination of the FSP, but it is a very relevant part.
The assessment exam (Feststellungsprüfung – FSP) for your specialization course consists of the following parts:
