Course description:
Since 2015 the University of Duisburg-Essen (as well as several other universities) requires the presentation of a C1 certificate for registration for the DSH exam.
The intensive C1 course ends as scheduled a few days before registering for the DSH exam at the University of Duisburg-Essen with the issuance of a C1 certificate after passing the final exam, so this course is the ideal prerequisite for all those applying for the DSH exam at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
The certificate is valid at all universities.
The IBZ will assist you with the registration for the DSH at the University of Duisburg-Essen. The C1 course trains all four written modules (reading comprehension, scientific structures (grammar), listening comprehension and text production), which are required for the C1 certificate, on the basis of designated standard textbooks. In addition, there is an integrated oral communication and presentation training, which introduces the student to oral examination skills.

The Advanced 1 (C1) includes 200 teaching units.
The condition for participation in the course Advanced 1 (C1) is the presence of Intermediate 2 (B2) certificate with min 720 hours of study German as a foreign language.
A placement test for this level is mandatory for all external participants.
The aim of the preparatory course for the DSH-examination is that the students are at the end of the Advanced 1 (C1) in a position to pass the DSH exam successfully. Here are the understanding and writing scientific texts in the foreground.
The students are regularly trained with the original-DSH exams, so that the students can thus control their own achievements and progress in learning. Different learning techniques are taught throughout the course to prepare students for the DSH test perfectly. Students are oriented towards the requirements for the exams, which are put before the students by universities, higher schools and colleges.
